Nestled in the grounds of
St. Dominic's Grammar School
in the picturesque South Staffordshire
village of Brewood, is our wonderful
second nursery setting.
Let me tell you about Little Oaks at St. Dominic's
Hi there, I'm Grace Mullany, and I'm the Nursery Manager here at Little Oaks at Dominic's. I've been with the business since day one, serving as Deputy Manager at our first setting in Wolverhampton. When the opportunity presented itself for the business to expand into Brewood, I offered the position of manager, and jumped in with both feet. I've been really lucky in being able to pick my team, and bring them over from my previous setting. This was important me, as this setting is much smaller, my team have to work really effectively together, with parents, and with St. Dominic's too. So far, we've introduced all-year-long childcare, the curiosity approach, and continued to expand on our extra curricular offerings that are only made possible by our relationship with St. Dominic's.
My team and I can't wait to see the nursery grow and grow...
perhaps we'll see you soon for a show round?
Our Relationships
Relationships are an important part of a child's development, but equally so for us adults. We have worked hard to continue to grow the special relationship that the nursery has with St. Dominic's, and we like to think that the relationships we've forged with the families here at Brewood, are lovely, honest and above all, constructive.
GET IN TOUCHFocus on Education
It's one of the universal questions the childcare providers like Little Oaks receive all the time, "will my child learn...?" - insert whichever skill or objective the parents are concerned about. Some nurseries prioritise play over learning, or learning over play. We like to think that we strike a pretty good balance, with out children learning through play.
LEARN MORECuriosity and Resources
One of the cornerstones of Little Oaks is the adoption of the Curiosity Approach - an independently developed approach to childcare and the resources that get employed. As a business, we are working towards an eventual certification in the scheme, and as a setting, we embrace the aged, the pre-loved and natural resources.

A Modern Nursery with Classic Values
We operate childcare from six weeks all the way up to four years - at which point, any child has the option to apply to St. Dominic's Reception, or any other school. Our Brewood setting has a six place baby room, catering for infants from six weeks to two years, while our primary room takes them up from there. Our baby room is staffed by Courtney, with Jess, Cathy and Charlotte looking after the two to four year olds.
Being so close with St. Dominic's has allowed us to offer a range of extra curricular activities that are available to the children and are included in the nursery fees as standard. These activities are always being updated, but currently, children can enjoy; Nature Detectives, Spanish, French, Yoga, Music and even P.E.
